What are my tooth replacement options if I'm missing one or more teeth?
You have five main options:
single tooth dental implants (the gold standard for one missing tooth),
All-on-4 dental implants (fixed full arch on 4 implants),
implant-retained snap-in dentures (removable full arch), dental bridges (using neighboring teeth as anchors) and traditional full or partial dentures (removable). The right choice depends on how many teeth are missing, your bone density, your budget and your long-term goals.
What is the best tooth replacement option?
Dental implants are widely considered the gold standard. They replace both the root and the crown, prevent bone loss, restore up to 95% of natural bite force and typically last decades or a lifetime. However, the best option for you depends on your specific situation. A free consultation with a 3D CBCT scan helps determine which option fits your bone, bite and budget.
Are dental implants better than bridges or dentures?
For most patients, yes. Implants don't require grinding down healthy adjacent teeth like bridges do, they prevent jawbone loss (which dentures and bridges allow to continue), they last significantly longer than either alternative and they restore far more chewing function. The upfront cost is higher, but the lifetime value is usually best with implants.
What if I can't afford dental implants?
We offer multiple budget-friendly options. Implant-retained snap-in dentures start at $12,000 per arch, less than half the price of fixed full-arch options. Traditional dentures and dental bridges are more affordable still. We also offer financing through Cherry, CareCredit and Sunbit, plus in-office payment plans that spread the cost over time.

Can I switch from dentures to implants later?
Yes. Many patients start with dentures and later upgrade to implant-retained dentures or fixed full-arch implants. The earlier you make the switch, the more bone you preserve. Long-term denture wear accelerates jawbone loss, which can complicate future implant treatment, so consulting early is helpful.
How do I know which tooth replacement option is right for me?
Book a free consultation at Osuna Dental Care. We perform a comprehensive exam, take a 3D CBCT scan and review your bone density, bite alignment, gum health and goals. Based on that data, we walk you through every option that's safe and effective for your case along with transparent pricing for each.
How long do tooth replacements last?
Dental implants typically last decades to a lifetime. Dental bridges last 8 to 12 years on average. Traditional dentures last 5 to 10 years. Implant-retained dentures combine implant longevity (decades) with denture parts that may need replacement every 5 to 10 years. Implants offer the best long-term value.
Is the consultation for tooth replacement free?
Yes. Your tooth replacement consultation at Osuna Dental Care, including a 3D CBCT scan and comprehensive evaluation, is completely free even without insurance. You leave with a full picture of your options and exact pricing for each.
What's the difference between a bridge and an implant?
A bridge uses your neighboring teeth as anchors. To do this, healthy teeth on either side of the gap have to be ground down to support the bridge. An implant is independent. It anchors directly into the jawbone without involving any other teeth. Implants protect bone and last much longer, while bridges are faster and don't require surgery.
Will insurance cover any tooth replacement option?
Most insurance plans cover at least part of dentures and bridges, though implants are often considered elective. Even for implants, many plans cover related care like extractions, crowns, sedation and bone grafting. We verify your benefits up front and explain exactly what's covered before you commit to any option.
